St. Albert Transit
Another Trial of Electric Bus - St. Albert Transit has been given the opportunity to conduct an additional test of BYD’s electric bus. This particular vehicle is similar to the bus provided to us for the initial test and is currently on a tour of numerous cities across North America. Please click here to view a list of routes and times that this bus will be operating. The bus will not have a fare box so passengers will not be required to pay a fare upon boarding but they will however have to do so if they transfer to a regular bus. Edmonton LRT Delays – St. Albert Transit (StAT) is anticipating travel delays for its riders due to Edmonton Light Rail Transit (LRT) opening its Metro line to NAIT on Sunday, September 6. It is possible riders will experience delays of up to 16 minutes, based on information recently announced to Edmonton City Council. These delays will impact Commuter Routes 201, 202, 209, and 211. Given the expected delays, passengers of StAT and residents travelling into Edmonton through other means are encouraged to leave earlier to account for increased travel time. Riders will be informed in upcoming weeks of any permanent route or schedule changes.
