Apply for a Drone Permit
All drone flights must follow the Canadian Aviation Regulations (SOR/96-433) and the regulations set by the City of St. Albert.
The City of St. Albert regulates drone use within parks and open spaces without a permit, per the Parks Bylaw (07/2022).
Parks and open spaces include:
- City-owned areas commonly used for public recreation.
- Natural areas, such as named parks, trail systems and environmental areas.
- Stormwater management facilities
