Standard Burial

When selecting a standard burial, there is the option to choose either a single or double-depth plot. Plots are available in the sunshine or near the trees.

Ash Burial

An ash plot can accommodate up to four urns. Plots are available in the sunshine or near the trees.

Field of Honour

An area of the cemetery has been dedicated as a Field of Honour for the burial of any veteran who has seen active service, as well as the individual's spouse or next of kin.

Columbarium

Columbaria niches can hold up to two (2) or three (3) urns, depending on the level purchased.

Ash Scattering

The scattering garden offers an alternative for families who do not wish to inter their loved ones but would like to have a permanent and accessible place to remember them.

Memorial Pillow

The memorial pillow provides a plaque of commemoration for loved ones.

Pre-planning

Pre-planning saves families from having to make decisions during a difficult time. If you wish to be involved in how you are remembered, planning ahead gives you the opportunity. Our cemetery staff will assist you in making choices that suit your needs.

Fall Clean-Up

Annually, Public Works conducts regular maintenance and clean-up activities at the St. Albert Municipal Cemetery. Each fall, an advertisement will be posted asking all families to remove any personal articles, flowers, and structures from the gravesites before winter (usually mid to late October). All personal items left at gravesites after this date will be removed.
