EV Charging Anti-theft Device Survey

The City of St. Albert is conducting a usability survey to gather information about anti-theft devices that are located at the St. Albert Place EV charging stations.

After many City EV charging stations experienced cable-cutting vandalism, the City installed steel protective anti-theft devices at the St. Albert Place EV charging stations as a pilot project.

Before this pilot project is expanded to any other locations, the City is conducting a winter usability test to ensure the design does not create unintended barriers for EV users. Results will be used to guide a decision to expand the structure, adjust the design, or limit it to the pilot site. This is operational usability testing. It is not opinion gathering or public feedback.
