Wildlife & You
Urban wildlife is an important part of St. Albert, and it provides many ecological and social benefits to the community. With over 900 hectares of parks and natural areas within the city’s boundaries, interactions between people and wildlife occur on a regular basis.
Everyone is responsible for educating themselves on the potential human-wildlife conflicts that can occur and implementing safety and preventative measures to ensure we can coexist in harmony with our wildlife neighbours.

NEW! Public Wildlife Sightings App
Residents can now input wildlife sightings and view data in one place as part of a citizen science initiative. This new app helps our City departments plan work and put precautions in place to protect both wildlife and workers, as well as share more information about wildlife sightings in our community.
Please note, the app is meant for data collection only and not reporting. Find information on how to report wildlife
