Reporting Injured or Aggressive Wildlife

Bears and Cougars

To report a sighting and/or encounter involving a large carnivore, such as a bear or cougar, please call Alberta Fish and Wildlife (Edmonton Office) at 780-427-3574 or through the Report a Poacher line (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) at 1-800-642-3800

Moose, Deer and Coyotes

To report a coyote exhibiting aggressive behaviour, not involving physical human contact, please call Municipal Enforcement Services' non-emergency line at 780-458-7700

If you believe there is an emergency involving imminent harm to public safety that requires police or emergency services response, call 911 

For aggressive coyote interactions involving direct physical contact with humans, please call Alberta Fish and Wildlife (Edmonton Office) at 780-427-3574

If you are concerned about an injured moose, deer or coyote, please call  Alberta Fish and Wildlife (Edmonton Office) at 780-427-3574 or the St. Albert RCMP non-emergency line at 780-458-7700

Small Wildlife 

To report sightings of birds and other small mammals that are injured, please call WILDNorth  (Northern Alberta Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation) at 780-914-4118

Wildlife Vehicle Collision

To report a vehicle collision involving wildlife, please call the St. Albert RCMP non-emergency line at 780-458-7700
