Garbage Can Design Contest

2026 Contest

This year's theme is "Happy Habitats", highlighting the importance of clean environments, balanced ecosystems and the well-being of all living things.

Contest entrants will be decorating garbage cans with animals living in clean forests, cities, rivers, parks, and neighborhoods. The artwork would highlight how keeping garbage off the ground helps animals, ecosystems, and communities stay happy and healthy.

From May 8 to May 18, 2026, residents will be invited to view one-of-a-kind designs and vote for their favourite. Winners will be announced May 20, 2026.
