The following City facilities are closed

At the May 4, 2020 Council meeting, it was approved that existing closures and cancellations for City facilities that fall into the scope of Public Health Order 02-2020 (as amended from time to time) remain closed to the public for as long as the public health order is in place. 

Closed Front Counters

Effective 8 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2020, all City of St. Albert front counter facilities are being closed to the public to be consistent with many municipal counterparts.

  • St. Albert Place Main Lobby (1st Floor)
    • Includes Utilities, Business Licensing, Dog Licences and Tax payments
    • Many of these services are available online.
  • Community Services Front Counter (St. Albert Place, 1st Floor)
  • Planning & Development (St. Albert Place, 2nd Floor)
  • Beaudry Place (Note that the Food Bank remains open)
  • Maloney Place - RCMP and MES (See the related notice)
  • Liggett Place
  • Recreation & Parks (100, 110 Carleton Drive)

Closed City Facilities

  • Recreation amenities including beach volleyball courts and pavilions.
  • All Clubhouses (Akinsdale, Mission, Larose, Grandin and Willoughby)
  • All on-site food operators at City-operated facilities
  • Art Gallery of St. Albert / Banque d’Hochelaga
  • Fountain Park Recreation Centre
  • Grain Elevator Park / Heritage Park
  • Grosvenor Outdoor Pool
    • As per the provincial orders, aquatics facilities would not open until Stage 3 of the Alberta Relaunch. Due to the resulting shortened season, Grosvenor Outdoor Pool would remain closed for the 2020 season, this also includes the Grosvenor Pool Dog Swim event that typically occurs on the Monday of the Labour Day weekend.

  • St. Albert Kinsmen Banquet Centre
  • St. Albert Public Library (all locations)
  • St. Albert Rugby Club and sportsfields
  • St. Albert Soccer Association Building and sportsfields

Outdoor sports facilities are closed for organized use and bookings, but remain open for spontaneous use, as long as users comply with the restrictions on mass gathering and requirement to maintain physical distancing.
