Criminal Record Checks
A Criminal Record Check is a name-based query that verifies whether an individual has a criminal record. When attending the detachment for a Criminal Record Check, you must bring with you two pieces of ID, one of which must be a government-issued picture ID that has not expired, with your name, date of birth & signature on it. If your ID does not state your physical address on it, you will also need to bring something verifying where you live, such as a current utility bill in your name.
If you have resided outside of our jurisdiction within the past 5 years, we will need to contact the police service for that municipality to request they check their databases as well – this often takes longer than 2 business days, so in those instances, we will call you when your Criminal Record Check is ready for pick up.
