Cyclist and Pedestrian Safety Action Plan
The City of St. Albert is completing a thorough safety review that will address pedestrian and cyclist safety on St. Albert roadways. It will focus on examining and assessing roadway engineering, education, enforcement as well as safety best practices.
The review is in response to the traffic incident of June 8, 2017, in which a young cyclist died after colliding with a vehicle in Grandin.
Preliminary actions are underway and are outlined in the Cyclist and Pedestrian Safety Action Plan below. More actions will be developed once the findings of the RCMP Investigation are announced.
