E-Scooters
E-Scooters are back! What a fun, reliable and accessible way to explore and travel the city. Your e-scooter trip will help reduce traffic congestion and emissions. Plus, having e-scooters back in our community provides benefits to the local economy and businesses.
The City of St. Albert has approved an "open market, low regulation" operation model for e-scooters. There is no limit on the number of e-scooter operators; however, Council has approved a maximum of 300 deployed e-scooters at a given time. Therefore, if there is more than one approved operator, the number of deployed e-scooters will remain equitable between companies.
E-scooter companies are required to hold a valid business licence and adhere to special Business Licence Conditions
