E-Scooter Sharing

Having e-scooters in our community provides benefits to the local economy and businesses.

Therefore, the City of St. Albert has approved an "open market, low regulation" operation model for rented e-scooters. There is no limit on the number of e-scooter operators, however, Council has approved a maximum of 300 deployed e-scooters at a given time. Therefore, if there is more than one approved operator, the number of deployed e-scooters will remain equitable between companies.

E-scooter companies are required to hold a valid business licence and adhere to special Business Licence Conditions
