- Ask them how to pronounce it (and listen to their response!).
- Don’t make it a big deal. Ask, listen and then move on.
- Observe and practice.
- Clarify again if you forget or need more help later.
- Apologize when you get it wrong.
- Be an ally. Help others pronounce it, too.
- No, you can’t call them by another name.
