Parenting Strategies Video Series

As we all search for our new normal and learn to live with Covid, we wanted to share valuable resources to help parents manage ongoing challenges from the pandemic.

Our Parenting Strategies Video Series will provide you with strategies, tips and tools to cope with the new reality we’re facing. While these videos were filmed during the height of the pandemic, the information continues to be relevant.

Many parents, caregivers and children face ongoing challenges as the pandemic continues to affect their daily lives. The St. Albert Mental Wellness Working Table thought it would be helpful to offer tips for parents on some of the common concerns that parents are currently experiencing.

Dyan Eybergen has created a parent series of 5 videos, 5 mins each in length.  Dyan is a certified Parent Coach, behavioural health consultant, trained Lego® play facilitator and an award-winning author is recognized for her common-sense, child-focused strategies to develop moral character and strengthen interpersonal relationships.

These short videos provide strategies and tools for parenting during covid times, dealing with school refusal and children’s anxiety; and offer suggestions for building social skills as children are having fewer opportunities to ‘be social’. The videos also feature information on attention span, behavioural issues, and sad or low mood.
