Community Social Roadmap

St. Albert is known for having a great quality of life including community safety, recreational and cultural opportunities, walkability, gathering spaces and a sense of community connectedness.

In the past 10 years, our city has become more diverse with more nuanced social needs.

These community changes and growth are coupled with larger societal challenges and issues including but not limited to the lasting impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, a rising cost of living and climate change. These challenges and changes necessitate evolution and change in our community to meet shifting social needs.

Family and Community Support Services’ Community Social Roadmap identifies local priorities important to the St. Albert community. It is intended to guide the work with, from, and by the community for the next 10 years, including the municipality, community social service organizations and community members.
