Keep Your Distance!

The City of St. Albert operates many different types of equipment that is used throughout the city to perform tasks, create improvements and meet standard service levels within the community. It is dangerous for pedestrians to approach equipment. Safe operation is necessary to maintain the good condition of our parks, facilities, roads, and utilities. Please contact Public Works at 780-459-1557 with questions or inquiries. Below is a list of tips to keep everyone as safe as possible when near City equipment. 

Keep plastic bags out of your recycling.

Keep your distance! For everyone’s safety, please do not approach City snow removal equipment. For inquiries about ice control or sanding requests, please contact Public Works at 780-459-1557.

Keep hazardous items out of your waste.

Keep your distance! For everyone’s safety, please do not approach City snow removal equipment. For inquiries about snow removal or plowing requests, please contact Public Works at 780-459-1557.

Keep bottle caps, lids and pumps out of your recycling.

Keep your distance! For everyone’s safety, please do not approach garbage trucks. Collections arms may swing out suddenly to pick up garbage carts. For questions or inquiries about waste collection, please contact Public Works at 780-459-1557.  

Keep plastic bags out of your recycling.

Keep your distance! For everyone’s safety, please do not approach City equipment. Large vehicles have blind spots and staff may not see you. Please contact Public Works at 780-459-1557 with questions or inquiries.  

Keep styrofoam out of your recycling.

Keep your distance! The City of St. Albert encourages all residents to stay off ponds and lakes throughout the city. Despite the cold temperatures in the winter season, ice surfaces on City storm water management facilities are not safe for walking or skating. Please contact Public Works at 780-459-1557 with questions or inquiries. 

Keep plastic cutlery of your recycling.

Keep your distance! For everyone’s safety, please do not approach City vehicles. Staff may not hear inquiries over the sound of loud equipment. Please contact Public Works at 780-459-1557 with your questions.
