Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
The City of St. Albert has developed its IPM plan, which is used to prevent and manage all pest problems within St. Albert. It promotes healthy vegetation and guides pest control activities on all public land and within civic structures and facilities.
One of the goals of this policy is to keep pests at acceptable levels through effective, economical and environmentally sound methods.
The City's pest control program monitors pest populations and responds to concerns about pests on City property. The City offers advice to residents that may be having a problem with pests on their property. Pest Control activities may include chemical treatments to reduce populations of some damaging pests.
