Residential Snow Removal
The City of St. Albert attempts to be as fair as possible in the order of clearing and does its best to rotate neighbourhoods so each time a new clearing occurs, the same neighbourhood is neither first or last. However, there are variables that, at times, supersede the order in which neighbourhoods are selected. These include:
- Ensuring neighbourhoods with the highest mobility issues are addressed as quickly as possible.
- Clearing neighbourhoods with design and geographical challenges, such as hills/high inclines.
- Coordinating with solid waste collection schedules.
Residents are advised to watch for snow removal signs in their neighbourhoods and park their vehicles on their driveways or in their garages, rather than on the streets.
The City of St. Albert will begin residential snow removal on December 30, 2025 at 7 a.m.
Snow removal will take place daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until complete. The order of neighbourhoods may change depending on waste collection and weather conditions.
