Snow Storage Site Update
Please be advised that the St. Albert snow storage site, located north of Villeneuve Road (secondary highway 633), was permanently closed as of October 2020 due to pending development.
For the upcoming winter season, you are advised to find an alternative approved snow disposal site in the greater Edmonton region. Contaminants commonly found in snowpack (such as metals, hydrocarbons, organic material and urban litter) can have adverse impacts on the natural and built environments. Failure to dispose of snow in an approved site may be in violation of Provincial and Federal environmental regulations and may result in fines and associated penalties.
