City tree debris cleanup
With recent storm activity, the City is prioritizing hazardous tree work and will continue with cleanup efforts around the City in the coming weeks.
- Report hazardous trees on City property that are blocking a road/pathway, creating an overhead safety risk or split and haven’t fallen. Call 780-459-1557 with the location and description of the issue.
Branches that aren’t a safety risk or blocking roads/pathways or infrastructure will continue to be cleared as teams make their way through each neighbourhood. Thank you for your patience as we work throughout the city.
Private property tree debris
It is a property owner’s responsibility to clean up and dispose of tree debris on their site.
- Branches less than 10cm thick can be cut up and placed in green bins for collection. Lids must be closed and content loosely packed for proper collection.
- Branches can be taken to the Compost Depot to be disposed of for free.
- Elm branches should be placed on the diseased branches pile to reduce the risk of Dutch Elm Disease spread.
- Do not place tree debris from private property on boulevards for City collection.
