Partnership Supports the Purchase Electric Buses

St. Albert Transit and the City of St. Albert wishes to acknowledge the contribution of the Government of Canada through the Public Transit Infrastructure Fund (PTIF), and the Government of Alberta through the GreenTrip funding program, for their essential contributions toward the purchase of Canada’s first long-range battery-powered transit buses. The support of the Governments of Canada and Alberta is a critical component in the continued efforts of transit agencies across Canada to provide safe, modern vehicles and facilities to serve their ridership. It is only through such partnerships that municipalities like St. Albert can commit to the pursuit of technology such as electric buses to reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions and to enhance our level of environmental stewardship.
