Mandatory Face Coverings

Mandatory Face Coverings

The Province announced temporary health measures to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on the health care system. Effective September 4, 2021, face coverings are mandatory for all indoor public spaces and workplaces. This includes public transit.

In addition to mandatory face coverings, St. Albert Transit riders should consider the following:

  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Physical distance while you are waiting
  • Wash or sanitize your hands frequently and do not touch your face
  • Cough/sneeze into your elbow
  • Passengers should spread out on board when possible
  • Stand away from the transit operator, give them space

Note:

  • Children ages 2 and older must wear a mask as per provincial Orders, unless an exemption applies.
  • All transit riders will still be required to wear a face covering on Edmonton Transit Service
