Environmental Initiatives Grant Program
The Environmental Initiatives Grant Program (EIGP) is a fun and easy way to encourage sustainability projects that align with the City of St. Albert’s Environmental Master Plan. Since the grant program was launched in 2007, 115 community projects have received funding! Our goal is to fund 150 projects by 2020. We are encouraging interested community groups of two or more residents, non-profit societies, charitable organizations, and schools to apply for the grant.
Grant requests can be made in any denomination up to $5,000. Funding requests over this amount will require additional review and approval by Council. To find out if you are eligible and to apply, visit the program requirements webpage.
Free Information Session
On Wednesday, September 5, a free information session was held for anyone wanting to learn more about the grant program, help refining a project idea, or to connect with project partners in the community. Thank you to the two community groups and one school representative that attended the session.
If you are not able to attend the information session, you can still apply for a grant! Simply call 780-459-1735 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your project idea.
