Long-Range Strategies
Long-range strategies are 10-year plans that align key strategies with the Community Vision, Municipal Development Plan goals, other planning documents and the Annual Budget Cycle. Through these long-range plans the City is showing the phases it goes through to plan, deliver and optimize services, and report back to the community. This ultimately improves alignment with Council’s strategic goals and focuses on key areas that guide the shared vision for our vibrant city.

- Mobility Choices Strategy
- As the City of St. Albert prepares for the next decade, we are focused on shaping how we move through our urban community. Our ‘Mobility Choices’ include everything from public transit to cycling, walking, driving and even the movement of goods. It's about more than just getting from point A to point B; it's how we connect with our community, access opportunities and experience all our city has to offer.
- The Mobility Choices Strategy is currently under development. The development of strategic directions is complete. Work is now being done on the technical analysis and studies required to inform the development of an implementation plan. The Strategy is expected to be completed in early 2026.
