Over the past three years (2023–2025), overall attendance has averaged approximately 78,000, indicating that participation levels have stabilized and remain strong.
Arden Theatre Events This indicator measures the number of events held in the Arden Theatre.

Comments The Arden Theatre hosted 100 events in Q1 2026, compared to 71 events in Q1 2025, representing an increase of approximately 41 per cent. This is also consistent with the 101 events hosted in Q1 2024, indicating that Q1 2026 activity has returned to recent higher levels.
Q1 2025 was lower in comparison due to lifecycle maintenance work, which resulted in reduced theatre usage during that period. Overall, Arden Theatre event activity remains strong and continues to reflect sustained demand and community participation.

Comments The Arden Theatre was used for 67 days in Q1 2026, compared to 59 days in Q1 2025, representing an increase of 8 days or approximately 14 per cent.
The Arden Theatre was used for a total of 234 days in 2025, which is consistent with average utilization over recent years. Since 2023, the theatre has averaged approximately 237 days of use per year, reflecting sustained community demand and ongoing programming activity.
Library Materials Circulated Per Capita Library materials circulated per capita measures the number of loans/borrows (circulation) per time period divided by the City's population (per capita).

Comments In 2025, St. Albert Public Library circulated 850,160 items to a population of 72,316, which equals 11.77 items borrowed per resident. This represents an increase from 10.71 items per resident in 2024, reflecting a higher circulation rate of library materials.
Much of this growth came from the Jensen Lakes branch, which continues to see strong neighbourhood use and is helping more residents access library services. Overall, the increase in borrowing highlights the Library’s role in supporting learning, community connection, and access to information for residents across St. Albert.
Servus Place & Fountain Park Facility Traffic The indicator measures the number of individuals visiting the facilities.

Comments Overall trends of facility traffic at Servus Credit Union Place and Fountain Park Recreation Centre continue to level off following a return to play in 2021.
Traffic in recreation facilities increased in 2025, reaching 2,027,691 visits, up from 1,962,816 in 2024. This continued increase reflects ongoing recovery and growth following the extensive shutdown of the Fountain Park Recreation Centre from May 2022 to July 2023 for renovations.
Rental and Programmed Hours at Recreation Spaces The indicator measures the number of rental and program hours booked in recreation facilities and parks.

Comments Rental and program bookings in recreation facilities and parks remained strong in 2025, reaching 138,649 hours compared to 137,947 hours in 2024. This reflects stable utilization and continued demand for recreation programming and facility rentals.
This ongoing trend follows the recovery from the extensive shutdown of the Fountain Park Recreation Centre from May 2022 to July 2023 for renovations.
Visual Arts Studio Usage This indicator shows the number of hours the Visual Arts Studios are used. The studios are accessed primarily by member guilds of the St. Albert Place Visual Arts Council, including Potters, Painters, Floral Arts, Paper Arts, and Quilting. The Arts and Heritage Foundation also uses the studios to deliver community recreation arts programming and educational programming for schools.

Comments In Q1 2026, the Visual Arts Studios recorded 2,650 hours of use, slightly lower than 2,777 hours in Q1 2025. This represents a decrease of 127 hours or about 5 per cent.
Despite this small decrease, Q1 2026 usage remains consistent with recent years and continues to show steady demand for Visual Arts Studio space. Since 2021, annual usage has increased and continues to average approximately 11,800 hours per year.
