Arden Theatre Attendance

This indicator measures Arden Theatre program attendance.

Comments

Overall attendance down by 14% over 2017. Rental group bookings was down slightly from 2017 resulting in 18% drop in attendance. City bookings was about the same but attendance down 19%. SACT Winter show attendance was down 51% over 2017.
 


 

Registered Participants for Cultural Programs

This indicator shows the number of registered program participants for Performing Arts classes and St. Albert Children's Theatre productions.

Comments

In comparison to Q4 2017 our overall number of registered participants has decreased by about 28%. In 2017 we leased extra school space to accommodate wait lists whereas this year we held back in anticipation of moving into our new Performing Arts space, which is now delayed into 2019. In addition our SACT winter production had a smaller cast and fewer performances.For the classes that were offered, we experienced a fill rate of 111%.
 


 

Rental and Programmed Hours at Cultural Spaces

Rental and programmed hours for City Spaces include the following facilities: Arden Theatre, Progress Hall, and Visual Arts Studios. These hours include all rental and programmed use of these spaces as well as maintenance time.

Comments

The Arden Theatre hosted 10 fewer performances during Q4 than it did in 2017, while the Visual Arts Studios saw a slight drop in hours of use; however over all the total hours of use for 2018 was 190 hours higher than 2017.
