The City is undertaking a comprehensive review of residential districts in the Land Use Bylaw (LUB) to examine ways to enhance housing diversity, and to support green design opportunities in St. Albert.

Residents, developers and all stakeholders are invited to the upcoming open houses:

April 19

  • 3 to 4:30 p.m. – Development Industry
  • 5 to 7:30 p.m. – Residents and interested stakeholders

April 20

  • 5 to 7:30 p.m. – Residents and interested stakeholders

Location: Red Willow Church, 15 Corriveau Avenue, St. Albert

Please note: This open house will be held in conjunction with the Borrowing for the Branch Library Open House

  • Discuss and comment on proposed changes to existing districts, including options for secondary suites such as garage and garden suites.
  • Discuss and comment on proposed regulatory requirements to promote a broader range of housing forms in new districts.

Information gathered at the open house will be reviewed and used to refine proposed amendments prior to Council’s consideration at a Public Hearing in June 2017.
