The proposed 2027-29 Financial Plan and 2027 Budget were presented to Council on October 20, 2026, including the 2027 municipal and utility operating and capital budgets.

The 2027 proposed budget is forward-thinking and priority driven, which ensures that we are planning for the future, while delivering essential programs and efficient, effective services to the community today.

This year’s financial plan includes:

  • Maintaining high service levels for existing and new areas of development.
  • Setting conditions for community well-being.
  • Stimulating responsible economic growth by creating more employment and business opportunities for residents.
  • Balancing increased costs and required investments for a sustainable future.

The proposed 2027 Budget includes an average property tax increase of 4.5 per cent. Residents will see an average of $875 per $100,000 in assessed value on their property tax bill, an increase of about $35 from 2026.

The average utility rate increase of 8.8 per cent yields an average increase of $15.39 per month compared to last year.
