A vision for a strong, sustainable community
St. Albert Mayor Cathy Heron
St. Albert, The Botanical Arts City, is known for its small-community feel and friendly character which have been preserved while it has grown to be Alberta's seventh largest city.
Residents and visitors take pride in the city's many trails and spacious parks; areas that provide first-rate recreational opportunities. We are known for our passion for sports, our rich history, a wide array of arts, our botanical arts brand and a vibrant culture.
While St. Albert maintains a high quality of life that residents have come to enjoy for 156 years, City Council and staff work to ensure growth is managed effectively. Developing lands, new roadways and a wealth of long-term planning initiatives are all signs of efforts that continue building a dynamic and diverse community.
Council is committed to building our community to meet the needs of residents and businesses, further strengthening St. Albert. We invite you to learn more about Council's vision and priorities for our community as outlined in City Council's Priorities.
You will find the City website thorough, allowing you to locate the information you are looking for in any language. While you're here, I invite you to explore the reasons why St. Albert is a great place to call home, a premier city in which to do business in and an exciting destination to visit; the Botanical Arts City.
