Community Flag Pole

The City of St. Albert provides individual residents and community groups with the opportunity to display special flags in recognition of significant community events.

For permission to use the community flag pole, interested individuals or groups must complete the Flag Raising Request Form

2024

October 24 to November 11
The Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Poppy Flag in recognition of Remembrance Day.
June 3-30
The Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Pride Flag in recognition of Pride Month.

2023

October 26 - November 11
The Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Poppy Flag in recognition of Remembrance Day.
August 4-14
The Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will by flying the Rock’n August Flag in recognition of the Rock’n August event taking place from August 8 to 12, 2023.
June 6-30
The Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Pride Flag in recognition of Pride Month.

2022

August 24
The Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Ukrainian Flag in recognition of Ukraine’s Independence Day.
June 13-30
The Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Pride Flag in recognition of Pride Month.
February 25 to May 13
The Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place flew the Ukrainian Flag in support of the people of Ukraine.

2021

November 12-30
From November 12 to 30, the Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Paint the Town Purple Flag in recognition of Family Violence Prevention Month.
October 28 to November 11
From October 28 to November 11, the Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Poppy Flag in recognition of Remembrance Day.
August 23-29
From August 23 to 29, the Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Treaty 6 Flag in recognition of Treaty 6 Territory Acknowledgment and Recognition Day in St. Albert.
June 18-24
From June 18 to 21, the Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Treaty 6 Flag, and from June 24 to 27, the Community Flag Pole will be flying the Métis Flag, in recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21.
June 1-17 and June 25-30
From June 1 to 17 amd June 25 to 30, the Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Pride Flag in recognition of Pride Month.

2020

October 30 to November 11
From October 30 to November 11, 2020, the Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Poppy Flag in recognition of Remembrance Day.
September 21 to October 4
From September 21 to October 4, the Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Métis Flag (Sept 21 to 27) and the Treaty 6 Flag (Sept 28 to Oct 4) in recognition of Orange Shirt Day in St. Albert.
August 24-28
From August 24 to 28, the Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Treaty 6 Flag in recognition of Treaty 6 Territory Acknowledgment and Recognition Day in St. Albert.
June 21-27
From June 21 to 24, the Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Treaty 6 Flag, and from June 24 to 27, the Community Flag Pole will be flying the Métis Flag, in recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21.
June 8-21
From June 8 to 21, the Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Pride Flag in recognition of Pride Month.
February 20-27
From February 20 to 27, the Community Flag Pole at St. Albert Place will be flying the Kinsmen Club of St. Albert Flag to honour their National Day of KINdness and in recognition of the Club’s 100th Anniversary.
