Make a Difference: Serve on a Civic Agency, Board or Committee
Civic Intake 2024
The City of St. Albert invites residents to serve on a Civic Agency Board or Committee to provide guidance to City Council and assist in civic operations. As a volunteer, this is a great opportunity to learn more about municipal government processes, gain more leadership experience and become more involved in the community. Make a difference! St. Albert residents with a passion to serve the community are encouraged to apply.
The City of St. Albert is now accepting applications for the following:

Arts Development Advisory Committee (ADAC) | 4th Wednesday of each month @ 6:00 p.m. | Up to 2 years | 5 members |
Assessment Review Board (ARB) | As Required in Fall of 2024 (daytime) | Up to 4 years | Up to 6 members |
Community Services Advisory Committee (CSAC) | 4th Tuesday of each month @ 6:30 p.m. | Up to 3 years | Up to 5 members (may include up to 2 youth members age 16 – 24 at time of appointment) |
Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) | 4th Tuesday of each month @ 6:00 p.m. | 2 years | 5 members |
Internal Audit Steering Committee (IASC) | As required (daytime) | Up to 2 years | 1 member |
Library Board (LB) | 3rd Wednesday of each month @ 7:00 p.m. | 3 years | 2 members (May include 1 youth member age 18-24 at time of appointment) |
Policing Committee (PC) | 1 evening per month @ 6:30 p.m. | Up to 3 years | 3 member |
Seniors’ Advisory Committee (SAC) | Ad Hoc / 3 times per year | Up to 2 years | Up to 4 members (age 55 + as of Sept 1/23) |
Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) | Wednesdays (bi-weekly) @ 6:00 p.m. | 2 years | 4 members |
Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) | 1st Wednesday of each month @ 6:30 p.m. | Up to 2 years | Up to 15 members (Youth age 14 – 24 as of Sept 1/23) |

The online application form and accompanying resume must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023.
