Art show, music, craft sale and workshops!

Amplify’s Artist Alley: Dreaming Edition is happening November 8-12! Join the City of St. Albert for an inspiring showcase of art, music and crafts brought to you by local youth inside the St. Albert Place lobby!

This event is a chance for the community to show their support for young creatives who are excited to be involved in the arts scene and eager to share their talent with others.

“Amplify’s Artist Alley is such a fantastic opportunity for young artists – they get to learn what it’s like to apply to be part of an exhibition or craft market, they get the confidence boost of seeing their work in a professional setting and they get such great feedback from the community. It is such a positive experience for our young artists, and we are grateful to all the friends, family and arts supporters who come out and cheer on these young creatives,” explains event organizer, Kathleen Bell.

The event is all about creating a space where youth artists feel valued and seen by their community. “It is so impactful for these visual artists and creators to not only see their work hanging in a public exhibition, but also see people take the time to stop and appreciate their work,” says Kathleen.

A lot of effort and planning goes on behind the scenes from the Amplify committee volunteer members to prepare for an event like this. “From organizing the workshops, to promoting the event to their peers, setting up tables and chairs, liaising with the artists and market vendors, to planning the decor, hours of work are put in by volunteers to make these events successful,” explains Kathleen.

“The commitment from committee members is remarkable to witness, and their efforts to help their peers grow and succeed is inspiring to see; these youth members care so deeply about each other's success,” explains Kathleen.

Just in time for the holiday shopping season, find unique wares for yourself or loved ones on your Christmas shopping list at this one day only market! Shop local from 26 young vendors selling handcrafted items like crochet plushies, jewelry, art prints, paintings and more, while listening to local musicians and taking in the scene.

Beginner Visual Art Workshops

When: November 8 between 11 a.m.– 4 p.m.
Where: Various locations inside St. Albert Place
Admission: $10 per workshop and advance registration required

Youth grade 7 to age 21 are invited to hone their artistic skills and try something new in a beginner visual art workshop. These workshops are so popular that limited spots remain only in the Paint Party workshop with Kaylee Rose Creative! Create a dreamy original artwork in this beginner friendly class where Kaylee focuses on everyone's unique learning patterns and individualistic style.
