Celebrate Young Voices at Amplify’s Poetry Open Mic Night!

A mic, a stage and a room full of creativity. That’s what you can expect at this year’s Amplify Poetry Open Mic Night—an evening designed to celebrate young voices, showcase original poetry and bring the community together over powerful words and sweet treats.

“The talent, passion and vulnerability displayed onstage at Amplify Poetry is truly moving,” says Kathleen Bell, community cultural coordinator for the City of St. Albert and Amplify’s coordinator. “Sharing your words with others is never easy, but the Amplify Youth Committee curates such a supportive and engaged space, every young poet who joins us feels heard and valued.”

Following the incredible creative readings from our youth participants, the night will conclude with a special performance by Rayanne Haines and St. Albert Poet Laureate, Ari Zak. Their captivating spoken word and poetry will leave you inspired and energized, making this an unforgettable evening of storytelling and connection.
