Be Part of Something Big! Volunteer at the 2025 International Children’s Festival of the Arts!

For over four decades, the Children’s Festival has relied on hundreds of hard-working volunteers to put on a one-of-a-kind event that keeps families coming back year after year. Ranging in roles from activity assistants and performance ushers to green team members, volunteer hospitality and registration, and youth ambassadors, each person who volunteers their time and talents at the festival makes a difference in its success!

This year, the festival is looking for fresh faces to join the volunteer veterans to keep the multi-day adventure for kids running smoothly. Some volunteers have been joining Festival Weekend for many years and to ensure that the festival continues to have strong, experienced volunteer leadership, new individuals and groups are needed to join the volunteer family to deepen the pool of expertise and build the path to succession.

Volunteers not only help the festival run smoothly, but they also get tons out of the experience in return. Volunteers learn new skills at the festival. There are so many kinds of jobs to do during the festival that volunteers are almost guaranteed to try new things and engage in new activities. Volunteers undoubtedly make new friends along the way, too! Returning volunteers often talk about how they look forward to seeing familiar faces joining the weekend of fun because it means they’re part of something bigger than themselves! Volunteering with such a committed group means that there’s a really wonderful opportunity to build lifelong connections and relationships. It’s also just downright fun! There is a contagious energy on site during the Children’s Festival. When you’re in it, you never want it to stop, and once it’s over, you can’t wait to get back at it next year!

If you’re thinking about volunteering but don’t know where to start, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Volunteer registration opens for returning volunteers on March 11 and for new volunteers just a few days later, on March 18. Once you’ve registered, we will review your application and if you’re approved, you’ll be able to attend an orientation session in May, so you’ll be all ready to help out come festival!
