Getting Active

Getting out and getting active in the sun is the perfect way to build healthy communities.

Read a book, meditate, cloud gaze, or join in the spray and play fun! Get to know your neighbours and make a new friend in a great atmosphere.

There are so many ways to get active this June! Here are two great places to get out and splash around in the sun.

The Woodlands Water Play Park has been a favourite location to make the most of St. Albert’s beautiful summers.

The Woodlands Water Play Park opened on Saturday, May 18 and we invite you to get out with the kids and enjoy this key summer attraction.

Every year, kids of all ages can play at St. Albert’s premiere splash park. It is a safe and fun way to enjoy the sun and cool off in fantastic and accessible water features. The park features a medieval themed splash park, playground, Splash Deck Café, picnic tables, change rooms and more!

However you choose to get active, the Woodlands Water Play Park is a great way to spend the day. Hours: open 9:45 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.  Water features on from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (weather permitting).

Admission is no cost.

A second great option is to visit Grosvenor Pool, which opened on Saturday, May 25. Come out and enjoy a sunny day and a swim at this longstanding community favourite.

Since 1967, St. Albert community members have been suiting up, packing coolers, and heading to the pool for a day of fun and play in the sun. Grosvenor’s cool waters, full-length recreational pool and deep dive tank have provided years of laughter and joy for residents of all ages.

Grosvenor Pool is the hottest outdoor spot in the City with a slide, diving board, sun deck, Splash Pad Café, and everything one would need for a relaxing and refreshing day. Servus Credit Union Place Annual Members get in for no cost and the City of St. Albert is now selling their All Access Summer Pass. A one-time affordable fee allows unlimited access to Servus Credit Union Place, Fountain Park Recreation Centre and Grosvenor Outdoor Pool. Buy a pass and keep your little one busy for the summer!
