Support Takeout Day

The simple pleasure of picking out your favourite meal, ordering, and enjoying it in the comfort of your home is what Takeout Day is all about! What could make this even better you ask? Add live entertainment from local musicians and talent.

Tune in tonight, Wednesday, April 29 at 6 p.m. MST and be delighted while watching Canadian talent perform for the Great Kitchen Party - Home Edition! on Facebook live. Special guests include The Jim Cuddy Band, Ed Robertson (Barenaked Ladies), Tom Cochrane, Alan Doyle, Barney Bentall, Whitehorse, Sarah Slean, Suzie Vinnick Music, George Strombo (emcee), Johnny Reid, Colin James and more!

Takeout Day across Canada was declared on April 15, 2020 to support local restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic. Supporting Takeout Day means more than just feasting on delicious eats with family. It’s a chance to give back to St. Albert eateries who are staying open to feed our community during this challenging time. We encourage you to order takeout every Wednesday, or any day if you choose!

Many St. Albert restaurants are still open for delivery or pick up and would love to serve you. Find ones that are open at StAlbert.ThingsThatAreOpen.com. If a restaurant isn’t listed, visit the restaurant’s website or give them a call as they may still be open.

When supporting local eateries, make sure to share a photo on social media with #takeoutday and #stalbert.
