Toys for Tickets Returns in 2025
Turn a ticket into a smile this holiday season.
If you receive a parking ticket with a Toys for Tickets notification between November 15 and 30, the City’s Municipal Enforcement Services will accept an alternative payment with a festive flair - a new, unwrapped toy for children who need it in our community.
“Over the past 16 years, our team has greatly enjoyed running this campaign as a way to support families in our community during the holiday season,” says Garnet Melnyk, Peace Officer Supervisor, Municipal Enforcement Services. “It turns a ticket into a toy and spreads holiday cheer as we make gifts possible for children who may otherwise not receive any this season.”
Toys received will be donated to the Fill-A-Bus campaign led by St. Albert Transit and Keolis, as part of the Kinette Club of St. Albert’s Christmas Hamper Campaign. Last year’s campaign saw tickets paid with 115 toys valued at approximately $4,384.
“Each year, this campaign makes a positive impact in our community, and we thank residents for their past participation and encourage anyone who wants to support this year’s campaign to come out and drop a toy off at Maloney Place,” adds Garnet.
Toys will be accepted in place of eligible parking tickets as part of the Toys for Tickets campaign.
Toys for Tickets Details
- Applies to eligible tickets issued between November 15 to 30. Eligible tickets will be issued with a Toys for Tickets notification providing information about the opportunity.
- The ticket must be paid with a toy within the early payment date range to be eligible.
- Toys must be new, age-appropriate (newborn to 16 years), and in original packaging.
- The value of the toy must equal, or exceed, $25, and a receipt must be presented at the time of payment.
Drop-Off Location
Toys can be dropped off from November 15 to December 7 at the St. Albert RCMP Detachment (Maloney Place), 96 Bellerose Drive. The detachment is open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
No appointment is necessary to drop off your donation.
Even if you don’t have a ticket, donations are welcome in support of this cause!
