RCMP - Auto Theft Unit execute search warrant in St. Albert seizing two re-VINed vehicles

In late April 2023, the Alberta RCMP Auto theft Unit began an investigation into vehicles that were suspected to be re-VINed and registered in St. Albert. As a result of the investigation, on Jan. 10, 2024, the Alberta RCMP Auto theft Unit with assistance from the St. Albert RCMP, executed a search warrant at a residence in St. Albert. Officers recovered a BMW 330XI and an Infiniti Q50 both of which had been re-VINed. The value of the vehicles recovered totals approximately $60,000.

Nancy Ma (44), a resident of St. Albert, has been charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 (X2)
  • Fraudulent Concealment (X2)
  • Utter Forged Document (X2)

Ma was released from custody with a court date set for Feb. 26, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert.
