RCMP - Charge One Male With Robbery
On October 30, 2024 @ approximately 8:30 a.m., St. Albert RCMP received a complaint of a male individual who attempted to rob a store employee with a knife at the Smart Centre Shopping Plaza on St. Albert Trail. The male individual fled from the store but was located by RCMP a short time later in the area. The male was arrested and no one was injured.
Ryan Gambler (41), of no fixed address, was charged with the following:
- Robbery
- Assault X 2
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Disobeying a Court Order X 2
- Resist Arrest
Ryan Gambler was held for a Judicial Interm Release hearing. Ryan Gambler was released from custody with conditions by the Justice of the Peace and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert on November 18, 2024.
