RCMP - Back To School Safety
St. Albert RCMP are reminding the public that St. Albert Schools are back in session, which means, School Zones are in effect. As students make their way back to the classroom, traffic gets heavier on our streets. There are more vehicles, school buses, public transit, cyclists and pedestrians using our road ways. Driver's are reminded that children may be distracted due to the excitement of back to school and they may not be paying attention to their surroundings. Driver's must be vigilant and alert behind the wheel.
Tips to help with the transition, to share the roads safely, and to ensure everyone stays safe this school year:
- Observe School Zone Speeds
- Obey All Cross Walks/Crossing Guards
- Watch For Children Darting Out Onto Streets
- School Bus Safety
