RCMP - Crime Stoppers - Shots fired prompts police investigation in St. Albert

At approximately 3:35 am on November 29th, 2017, St. Albert RCMP responded to a complaint of shots fired in the Sturgeon Heights Neighbourhood of St. Albert. Witnesses in the area reported hearing shots being fired outside.

Once police arrived, they immediately identified that a possible victim had fled on foot and a search of the area located the injured male a short distance away from the scene inside a residence. The male didn't require hospitalization.  

Police are continuing their investigation and are still gathering evidence from the scene.

The investigation is still in its early stages but police believe that it was an isolated incident and there is no risk for public safety.
