RCMP - Crime Stoppers - Two Charged with Assault with a Weapon

On May 6, 2020 at approximately 12:37 a.m., St. Albert RCMP received a call regarding an assault that just occurred outside the Sturgeon Point Villas. Police responded and located a 33 year old male victim, who had been struck in the head with a baseball bat. The victim's truck was also damaged in the incident. 

Through the police investigation it was learned that two individuals were involved in the assault. Initially a male pulled a knife on the victim and then a female proceeded to strike the victim with the bat. The victim was seen by paramedics at the scene but was not transported to hospital. 

The two suspects had fled the area but were later located and arrested. Upon arrested the male suspect was in possession, of what is believed to be, 10 grams cocaine.

Jordan Anderson (32) of St. Albert was charged with the following offences:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Breaching an Undertaking
  • Resist Arrest
  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking

Katrina Anderson (35) of St. Albert was charged with the following offences:

  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Mischief Under $5000

Both individuals are scheduled to appear in St. Albert Provincial Court July 20, 2020.
