RCMP responds to serious motor vehicle collision – UPDATED

UPDATE: As a result of a lengthy investigation, Gary Sorenson (63), a resident of St. Albert, has been charged with operating a motor vehicle dangerous to public causing bodily harm.

Sorenson was issued a summons and is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert, on Sept, 21, 2026.

St. Albert RCMP responds to serious motor vehicle collision

St. Albert, Alta. - On Oct. 29, 2025, St. Albert RCMP received a call of a serious injury motor vehicle collision involving a SUV traveling Westbound on Oakridge Drive at Outlook Place. The SUV struck a parked landscaping trailer, resulting in a female landscaper being struck and pinned. EMS, Fire and Police responded. The victim was transported to the hospital by STARS in critical condition. The matter is still under investigation, with assistance from St. Albert RCMP traffic services, RCMP traffic reconstructionist, Occupational Health Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Service.
