RCMP - Theft of License Plates - Information Session

On Tuesday, November 21, 2017, St. Albert RCMP are partnering with St. Albert Neighbourhood Watch and St. Albert Neighbourhood Development to offer an information session on prevention of theft of vehicles and on how to prevent theft of your license plate.

In 2017 at least 17 St. Albert residents have reported that their vehicle license plate has been stolen from their parked vehicle. In addition to the inconvenience of replacing the license plate, some of these residents have been faced with proving that their vehicle was not responsible when they have received photo radar tickets. Some vehicle owners have been advised by police that their license plate was used on a vehicle that was involved in a crime and they have to prove that they were not the people who committed that crime.

St. Albert Neighbourhood Watch offers a free method for securing your license plate to your vehicle that can prevent your plate from being stolen. Come to a free information session at the Reliance Room at Servus Place on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. to learn how to protect yourself and your vehicle.
