RCMP - Respond to Train Derailment - UPDATE
Updated Release - March 4, 2024 @ 9:06 a.m.
Update: St. Albert RCMP want to inform the public that there are no reported road closures or traffic issues regarding the train derailment at this time. The train derailment occurred northwest of the corner on Veness Road and Poundmaker Road. No injuries were reported and CN Police remain on scene for clean up.

Original Release - March 4, 2024 @ 7:31 a.m.
At approximately 7:00 a.m. this morning, St. Albert responded to a train derailment on Poundmaker Road and Vaness Road, in the northwest corner. Emergency vehicles are on scene and public is ask to avoid the area while first responders work.
More information will be made available throughout the day.
