St. Albert Advertising Bylaw

The St. Albert City Council will consider passing an Advertising Bylaw to provide more flexibility in sharing information with residents and meeting the City’s statutory advertising obligations as outlined in the Municipal Government Act. 
The draft Advertising Bylaw gives authority to the Chief Administrative Officer to determine when an alternative advertising method should be used. In some situations, the City may choose to issue public notifications across multiple channels, including advertisements in the St. Albert Gazette.
Permitting alternative methods of advertising statutory notices is aligned with municipal best practices regionally and provincially. 
The draft bylaw will be presented at the Tuesday, April 19, 2022 Council Meeting for consideration.

The agenda report on the Advertising Bylaw will be available on the City website at late in the afternoon on Thursday, April 14, 2022.
