City Chief Administrative Officer Term to End December 31

Mr. Kevin Scoble, who previously announced his resignation as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the City of St. Albert, will be completing his last day of work with the City of St. Albert on December 31, 2021.

“Council thanks Kevin Scoble for his leadership and wishes him well,” says Mayor Cathy Heron. “We have full confidence in Mr. Hilts and look forward to the leadership he will provide while Council undertakes a comprehensive search to find the City’s next Chief Administrative Officer.”

Over the next few weeks, Kevin Scoble will be transitioning leadership of the organization to Kerry Hilts, who is currently serving as the City’s Deputy Chief Administrative Officer. Effective January 1, 2022, Kerry will begin serving as Interim CAO subject to public appointment by Council.

“I am honoured to take on this interim role for the City,” says Kerry Hilts. He adds, “My primary focus will be to maintain continuity for the organization and for the residents and businesses we serve.”

The City has begun its search and hopes to have a CAO candidate in place in the coming months.
