For Immediate Release / April 16, 2026

City holding public hearings on May 5, 2026, for Bylaws 14/2026 and 4/2026

In accordance with Section 674(1) of the Municipal Government Act, Public Hearings have been scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 1 p.m. for Bylaw 14/2026 and Bylaw 4/2026.

Bylaw 14/2026, if passed would see a portion of 1100 St. Albert Trail, in Jensen Lakes, be redistricted from Future Urban Development (FUD) to Public, Private and Institutional Service (PPI) District, to enable the development of Fire Hall #4.

Bylaw 4/2026, if passed, would amend the Land Use Bylaw 18/2024, Schedule A, by redistricting multiple parcels of land in the Jensen Lakes neighbourhood to Small-Lot Residential (SSL), Laned-Lot Residential (LLR), Medium Density Residential (MDR), Public, Private, and Institutional Services (PPI), and Public Park (PRK). Redistricting of land is needed to enable subdivisions for residential development, and this redistricting aligns with the Jensen Lakes Area Structure Plan.
