City Launches Survey to Understand Priorities of Business Community
The City of St. Albert will be launching a survey to better understand the top priorities, plans and needs of local businesses, as well as how business owners/managers view the community as a place to do business.
The telephone and email survey will be conducted by Deloitte Canada, an economic development and market research consulting firm. Businesses will be randomly selected to participate but are encouraged to opt-in to participate by providing their email address to the City. Deloitte Canada will contact businesses between April 20 to May 8, 2026. The survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.
Local businesses’ input into the Business Survey will help the City understand the most pressing needs of local businesses and will be used to plan future economic development activities focused on their top priorities.
In recent years, results from this survey have led to several City initiatives such as the home-based business workshop series, Take the Next Step; a web page dedicated to home-based business resources; the How to Start a Business checklist; and Economic Development led networking sessions and resources.
The results of this year’s survey will be shared with Council and the community in early summer.
For more information and to opt into this survey, visit the Business Survey webpage on the City of St. Albert website.
