City Launches Survey to Understand Priorities of Local Business Community

The City of St. Albert will be launching a survey to better understand the top priorities, plans and needs of local businesses, as well as how business owners/managers view the community as a place to do business.

The telephone and email survey will be conducted by Deloitte Canada, an economic development consulting firm and a global leader in market research. Businesses will be randomly selected to participate but are encouraged to opt-in to participate by providing their email address to the City. Deloitte will contact businesses between April 22 to May 18, 2025. The survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.

Local businesses’ input into the Business Retention and Expansion Survey will help the City understand the most pressing needs of local businesses and will be used to plan future economic development activities focused on their top priorities.

In recent years, results from this survey have led to several City initiatives such as the Digital Economy Program, launched in partnership with the University of Alberta and Business Link, as well as the series of St. Albert Job Fairs, implemented in partnership with the Government of Alberta, St. Albert Chamber of Commerce, NABI, St. Albert Further Education and the St. Albert Public Library.

The results of this year’s survey will be shared with Council and the community in July.

For more information and to opt into this survey, visit the Business Survey webpage on the City of St. Albert website.
